1. Several driver updates
(Top)
During the last weeks several driver updates were uploaded
to our website - more should follow in the next days.
- Hammerfall DSP: version 2.31 for W2k/XP, fixes problems
with MIDI, completely multi-client, supports Gigastudio.
- Hammerfall DSP: version 2.11 for W9x. Attention: this
driver includes different version numbers, from 2.10 (Settings dialog) up
to 2.31 (TotalMix.) Before updating the driver please exit both Settings
program and TotalMix completely!
- Hammerfall series: version 1.4 for W2k/XP, completely
multi-client, supports Gigastudio.
The new functions are described in detail in the latest
updated manuals for Digiface/Multiface/DIGI9652/DIGI9636, which are also
available on our website.
As always the changes, fixes and enhancements are documented within the driver
archive (readme.txt) and on our website (section Tech Info, Driver Updates.)
2. Frankfurt Music Fair
News (Top)
In a few hours RME will attend the Frankfurt Musikmesse
for the fifth time. We look back with pride on these 5 years. While some
of our competitors now rest in peace, and some others face serious sales
problems, RME has grown a lot in 2001 again - and we will do the same this
year. In short: let's celebrate!
Because of this RME will launch several anniversary events in the next months.
The first one is exclusively for the Musikmesse visitors, the second one
can be downloaded right now. RME presents TOTALYSER, the new super-all-in-one
analysis tool!
To celebrate our fifth birthday we give away two tools worth a thousand dollars
for free, a 30 band Spectral Analyser and a Goniometer (Vector Scope), to
all RME customers. Both programs work nearly identical to known (expensive)
hardware, therefore better than known (expensive) software. They cause only
a small CPU load and work with ALL RME cards!
Spectral Analyser and Goniometer will be added soon to DIGICheck. Until then
these functions are available as stand-alone software on the RME website,
including English online help. Have fun!
Furthermore RME announces some news at the Musikmesse:
- The Word Clock Module WCM
for the DIGI96 series ships in an updated version (MKII, see Web.)
- The ADI-8 Pro and DS have
been improved in some small, but nice details. Space between the TRS-jacks
has been increased a bit, the word clock PLL has been improved for even
less jitter when working with word clock, and an additional screw stabilizes
the cover.
- The Repeater, which allows
the HDSP system to be used with higher cable length, is shipping. See Website,
section Accessories.
- RME announces the ADI-648,
a bi-directional MADI/ADAT converter. More information on this unit can
be found
here.
3. New Web server rme-audio.de (Top)
We have a new German Web server (rme-audio.de.)
This one operates very reliable and fast. It may well happen that even in
the US the connection to www.rme-audio.de
is faster than to www.rme-audio.com.
Simply try it!
4. RME Forum made easy (Top)
The RME Forum no longer requires user name and password
when logging in. More information is available on our Website, News &
Info, RME Newsgroup.
Best regards
