Internationally famous Greek singer George Dalaras selected a RME MADI System to record his live concerts in the historic Herodion Odeon theatre.
On July, 4th and 5th, 2007, two magic nights beneath the holy rock of Acropolis in Athens took place when George Dalaras and his orchestra performed Greek songs ranging from the 19th century to the present.
And it was just like in ancient days: Under the warm summer night sky of Athens the theatre accommodated 5.000 people in its historical ambience.
George Dalaras wanted to record these two concerts in a better quality than previous recordings. The way to realize this challenge was a complete RME MADI system. 64 audio channels were used throughout, and almost all instruments were traditional greek acoustic instruments.
