John Powell is one of the most successful and well respected soundtrack composers in Hollywood. He crafted some of the most entertaining and creative scores of the last years. Among them:
”Finally there is a company that is taking MADI seriously. Using the RME HDSPe MADI PCIe cards have opened up a lot of great interface possibilities for me. I am using 3 RME HDSPe MADI cards and 1 RME HDSPe RayDAT card. I have a single HDSPe MADI card for my sequencer which allows me to output 64 channels of audio to my mixer. I use a single RME HDSPe RayDAT card sending 32 channels of adat optical from my sampler rig into an ADI-648 which combines that audio with 8 channels of adat optical from my video machine. The ADI-648 outputs all of this as MADI into the mix rig. Finally, I use 2 HDSPe MADI cards in my mix rig to input MADI from these various sources. I combine the 2 cards for a total of 128 ins and outs for the mix machine via an aggregate device. The RME HDSPE MADI cards allow me to send the BNC output to the main studio running a Euphonix System 5 and the optical mirrored output to a remote rig in a different location running a Sony DMX R-100 mixer.”
